What Services Does RCLF Offer?

The Richmond Community Legal Fund (RCLF) does not provide direct legal representation. Rather, we help people with their legal costs. Litigation is expensive, and we believe people should not be denied justice simply because they cannot afford an attorney. We work with legal aid organizations, lawyers, and community activists to help our neighbors seek justice.

We are particularly concerned with legal issues involving immigration, housing, family law, workers' rights, students' rights, and civil rights in general. If you have a particular legal need, it is best for you to first reach out directly to legal aid services or private attorneys for help. Your attorney can then reach out directly to the Legal Fund for financial support.

If you have not yet spoken to an attorney and don't know where to start, we may be able to offer a referral.
